Assign buttons to combos, to play 4 button games on 3 button setups
-
So, I'd like to play a few 4-button games on an old arcade cabinet that's got 3 buttons per player. What's the best way to assign button D to a combo (like B+C for example)? It should work across all libretro arcade cores.

@Amplifuzz I don't think that's supported by RetroArch front-end at the moment. There were some cores that supported button combinations (e.g.
lr-fbapha
), but that's not something that's generally supported. -
lr-fbalpha is the main core I would need this on, and for the life of me I can't find a way how.
I had this from time to time:

EDIT: seems to be game-dependent, but with no particular reason as to why it's not there when it's not.

As you've found out, it's something that's being removed, so there's no upstream support for this going forward.
