Fresh install of retropi on a new build last night, not sure when or how but at some point something has happened that now causes the pi to throw up a glGetError 0x501 after trying to boot roms or config menus. Anybody know the reasoning, implications or possible fixes to this?

      Thanks!

@DavidHamiltonUK That's usually an video memory allocation error. Did you increase the VRAM settings in Emulationstation or modified the GPU memory split in /boot/config.txt ? What theme are you using ?

@shavecat Read my previous reply - what's your GPU allocated memory and what's the VRAM setting in Emulationstation ?

I had that problem too, because I installed RetroPie/emulationstation after I installed Raspbian with Pixel desktop. Default memory split was 64MB I think and i had to change it to 256MB.
