Unable to pick emulators before game start up

When I click a game and it begins to load, I am unable to click a button to get the window to pop up to pick a different emulator. Any suggestions why this is? Thanks

@vonzip first thing is you need to press button 0. Whichever but this is wired to is the button needed for it. If you have more than 1 controller the linuxy stuff like that may not see the same controller as "first controller" as the one you are using as player one. And also you can go into retropie settings and choose run command. You may have disabled the joystick in there.
