So before I will buy this screen, i was wondering how to connect it to the pi3. I hope some one can answer this question.

@trekdrop It looks like a HDMI cable would be the best.

The pi3 and the controller card have HDMI connectors. A normal HDMI cable will work. The ribbon cable from the screen connects to the controller card at the 50pin TTL connector. One thing I don't see is power for the backlight for the screen. Without that the screen will be dark.

              Hi

Power for the screen will be via the DC power socket top right of the controller board in the fourth image or bottom left in the first image next to the hdmi connector.

              Cheers

              Paul

@PaulCheffus I was speaking of the small 3 connector black and red wire that I think is used to power the backlight of the screen. You can see it at the bottom of the screen in the forth image. When reusing screens from laptops a separate power converter is needed to light the screen. I may be wrong about this screen. I think this screen is LED backlight and may work.

OK. I just found a Youtube vid that shows the backlight power connects to the controller board. No additional hardware is needed. Sorry if I lead you on the wrong path! :-)
