      I recently bought the 8Bitdo NES30 controller for my Raspberry Pi 3. After pairing it, the blue LED on the back becomes solid, to indicate that it has been paired. However, none of the buttons seem to be registering. I paired it with my iPhone, and the button inputs show up just fine. Also, I paired a blue tooth keyboard with my Raspberry Pi, and that works just fine. So, there's nothing wrong with my blue tooth receiver. Any suggestions?

        @Tony89mu once you register it you need to configure the controller in emulationstation.

          @edmaul69 I went to the main menu and hit enter with my keyboard on configure input. I held down the A button down for several seconds with the controller, and nothing happened. Other buttons don't work either.

            Are you powering on with power or right trigger + power? You have to do right trigger + power. If this is an nes30 and not an nes30 pro

            You might have to make a udev rule file too:

            Edit udev

            Some tutorials reported some success editing this file:

            sudo nano /etc/udev/rules.d/10-local.rules
            Add this line:
            SUBSYSTEM=="input", ATTRS{name}=="8Bitdo NES30 GamePad Joystick", MODE="0666", ENV{ID_INPUT_JOYSTICK}="1"

            if the file isnt there create it. i had to do this

                @edmaul69 I installed the RetroPie 4.0 beta, and it looks like they remedied the situation in the Bluetooth menu. If I have any performance issues with the beta, I'll try your suggestion with the old version. Thanks for the quick response.
