Is there a way to capture game screens (lrmame-2003) or footage when a game is playing?

Then how do you get it into a file that you can work on in Windows?

    Thanks

@MaMikee Retroarch has a screenshot option, available in the menu when it's opened (RGUI). For video, it has a similar Start/Stop recording option in the same menu.
The image/video should easily read on Windows also, they use standardized formats and codecs.

never used it myself, but i recognized a "take screenshot"-function in the RGUI.
I guess it will do what it is named for and save the picture to the rom-Folder, where you can pick it up and copy it to every Windows-, OS2- , -MacOS or even Solaris-System ;)

The screenshots are saved in /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/screenshots. For convenience, I made a link at /home/pi/screenhots with this command:

          ln -s /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/screenshots /home/pi/screenhots
