      Okay So I read the guide on the sn30 pro but I dont have that I have the latest version of retro-pie and I have gone to the Bluetooth configuration. If i connect to my computer and do the steps to connect( I have widows 10) It still says Plug in device. It comes up as a wireless controller and still says to connect via usb how do I udate it manually? Also I can only find guides on sn30 pro and nt just a plain sn30

        also If I do it wired it wont work in any emulator

          @kingfrankbob Did you try reading through this:

          I have set up three different models of 8bitdo with no issues. To update the firmware you need to download the 8bitdo firmware tool.

            okay i did but it still says I need to plug in the controller

              it appears as a usb device with the name of V1_01 How do I manually update?

                Did you get the upgrade tool from here ? :

                Find the model on this page and click on Manual and read the instructions for putting it into update mode:

                  Also my xbox controller works in emulators but not in the nes and snes because it is not configured this is the same if I wire my sn30 controller
