Could no build retroarch on ubuntu 19.04

i'm trying to install retropie on Ubuntu 19.04 with retropie_setup.sh and retroarch is not build. It's fails in configure when chegin existence of -lGL:

Checking existence of -lGL ... no
Forced to build with library -lGL, but cannot locate. Exiting ...

I can't find anything about this library.

Every now and again this happens with my AMD rig and it currently is an issue. Somehow it magically gets fixed eventually by likely some awesome developer whos really cool!

Retroarch currently builds fine using the same version of the setup script as tried earlier today on both of my Intel rigs as well as pi. Sadly i only use the intel computers for testing and not gaming..

The error from first poster is due to not finding the Mesa opengl libs. We're they removed? Should be a dependency but need more info about set up and a full log.

@BuZz Ill post mine however as mentioned before it builds fine using Intel CPUs with onboard graphics as well as all cores. i5 6500 and i7 3632qm.

It would be interesting to find out why this happens every now and again with teh AMD! Actually quite a few cores also fail to build from what i just tested, probably related!

If I think about it a mesa issue makes sense considering, but have no idea what would have caused it.

@BuZz That was exactly it at least for me and your question was all it took to figure it out. It did something to mesa/nvidia drivers in general and i realized i was in a "I dont know wtf that repo did" situation.

I ended up nuking it finally tonight (been super busy lately) and removed that ppa from my script entirely..My fault! I kind of wonder what the other guy did and it would be great if he posted if he figured it out for someone else later on down the line because it may be different from my situation.
