Note about the format: I think you wanted a format like this: TITLE; SYSTEM; DESCRIPTION. This would make it easy to parse, right? But people will not always post in strict formats, as this is an open forum. What you really need is a database.^^

As for the games, I have many favorites, so it is very hard to decide for me. I limit to 3 titles per system, thats why I couldn't include Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Final Fantasy Tactics and what not!

      NES

      • Zelda; nes; The foundation of Zelda I played late after N64 episode, lol, but surprisingly good!
      • Super Mario Bros. 3; nes; How is this game even possible? It is like a SNES game!
      • Super Mario Bros.; nes; The game that started it all. Prior to this nothing was alike.

      Super Nintendo

      • Final Fantasy 6; snes; To me this is a near perfect rpg on the console. Characters, gameplay, music everything.
      • Chrono Trigger; snes; Practically as good as the best Final Fantasy games with time travel mechanic.
      • Zelda – A Link To The Past; snes; My favorite Zelda game and the first videogame when I lost my mind for years.

      Playstation

      • Final Fantasy 7; psx; Probably my favorite game of all time. Maybe.
      • Metal Gear Solid; psx; This game has so many secrets, ways to play, story, characters atmosphere, ideas…
      • Castlevania–Symphony of the Night; psx; A blend of Metroid with RPG style and a wonderful soundtrack.

      Nintendo 64

      • Super Mario 64; n64; The transition from 2D to 3D was perfect and had the Nintendo quality of seal.
      • Perfect Dark; n64; A better version of Goldeneye and with features and modes I was hyped for.
      • Wave Race 64; n64; I always come back to this game since my childhood. A true timeless classic.

@Brigane Nice list, I like seeing some love for Solar Striker. I am surprised no SNES, Mega Drive or N64 and no Zelda or Final Fantasy. It looks unusual. :D
@Ecks Yes, I could have done much longer lists too. It just hurts not to include some classics. But then nobody, every single entry looses more and more its effect, the more games you include.

@thelostsoul I didn't have a SNES, Mega Drive or N64 when I was growing up. I had to settle with a small amount of PC Games, Gameboy, NES and PS1. I dont remember playing Zelda or Final Fantasy as a kid and I can't explain why, but I guess it didn't got me hooked back then. I was way more interested in platform games. As an adult though, I got my eyes more opened for the Zelda franchise and I intend to play them on my NES and Gameboy when I find them at a reasonable price.

A SNES game that seems to get overlooked is Unirally/Uniracers It is a simple game to play but has a nice progression. Great fun playing a split screen 2 player. An old favourite from my uni days that is.

@Barcrest One of my favorite racing games of all times! I loved the concept of high speed and getting faster with stunts. The stunt tracks playing for points was practically a different game. The controls are so simple, just press left or right to move and the buttons are used for turn axis and do stunts in combination with them. I have so much memories of this. It was so fun to beat the score and to check what the other guy did by lending the game every week.

I would of added in some Zelda games but those are too common to mention and as for Final Fantasy games the one's that makes me come back to them is Crisis Core and Tactics.

Batman Arkham Knight was my reason to get a PS4, and I will never forget committing fully to it and being amazed by the graphical upgrade and unquestionable polish.

Yakuza Kiwami might not be the better choice between itself and its prequel, yet because the prequel exists, this game is a fantastic evolution of what the characters are growing out to be. The emotional notes it reached (with me) is uncontested and I wish I could experience it for the first time all over again.

Minecraft. I've tried to play it because there was a free version on a website called Apknite. I play Minecraft because it has given me many opportunities to find myself creatively, while also stimulating the part of the brain that entices us to challenge myself in new ways that I may not have once imagined. Hopefully, Minecraft does the same for you.

@tezter While the Yakuza and Batman games are really nice, they can't be played on a Raspberry Pi. I think you missed the initial posting? For Minecraft, I think there is a version playable, but I never tried it.

I've played and finished Batman: Arkham Knight on my RetroPie using Moonlight (from my Desktop PC) with a wireless Xbox 360 controller. You could also probably use SteamLink for RetroPie as well. SteamLink seams a little more robust than Moonlight but SteamLink wasn't around when Arkham Knight came out. Several of the Yakuza games are also on Steam so they could probably be played as well.

@backstander Ahaha, nice. :D That wasn't what I meant. I mean the games are not executed natively and was assuming native games are asked by the TO. But I guess you are right, since streaming is possible and he only asked what things he can do, this could be counted too.
