Does anyone know how to save scores after each game, or at the start of the next?

I've got "Save on Exit" set and it works great but I'm thinking about a console that only plays one game and only has a "Start" key.

    Thanks, lr-mame2003

Depending on the driver implementing the game, the emulator auto-saves the Highscore when it exits - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/lr-mame2003/#high-scores.
I say depending on the game, because not all games have highscore support in lr-mame2003.

@mitu I don't think the emulator will ever exit unless power is pulled.

@MaMikee I don't understand this kind of setup, adding a power switch to a RP is easy and you're not risking SD card corruption.

@mitu Power switch as in "shut down gracefully?"

I also want to boot right into this one game and am not sure you still use E.S. when you implement this way. Was saving that for another search/question.
