      HI,

Im looking for this too... Ive also tried to edit 10-emulationstation.sh, but not succes.
What would be quite nice, is a possibility to arrange this from the GUI itself.

      Who can help us?

On RetroPie 4.0 there is /opt/retropie/configs/all/autostart.sh (if you don't have it make sure RetroPie is up to date, and then disable and re-enable autostart of ES from the RetroPie-Setup script)

in that file you will see by default on the image it is set to just launch emulationstation - other commands could be put in there instead.

I need more information to help with a commandline - eg which emulator you want to use.

          Hi Buzz,

Thanks for pointing me there! I want to boot into a rom belonging to the mame4all set.

In that case (using green beret in my example) you would add to the top of the aforementioned autostart.sh

            /opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh 0 _SYS_ mame-mame4all ~/RetroPie/roms/mame-mame4all/gberet.zip

@Floob said in Boot directly to MAME ROM:

                  /opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh 0 _SYS_ mame-libretro ~/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro/gberet.zip

Thanks Floob, appreciate the prompt reply !

                  cheers

                    Hello all,
What would the script look like for a Atari 2600 (Stella?) emulator?

This is what I've been currently using (unsuccessfully):

                    /opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh 0 SYS atari2600 /root/retropie/roms/atari2600/Yar_rev.bin
