Is lr-stella still being updated?
-
It seems to be lagging a long way behind the Windows release and it'd be nice to have one that could play the amazing new releases like Mappy and Galagon. Has it been abandoned or is it just a question of having patience?
-
well it branded as stella2014 so its a most only going to get bug fixes if you want more up to date youll need to use stand alone. Unfortunately a lot of the cores arent upstream. There is not much else you can do if there is issues. If a newer version has bug try stand alone its available for the pi not sure if its included with retropie though havent checked

Hi @SpudsMcToole ! As @grant2258 mentioned, libretro's repo has rebranded it to stella2014. But there is an up-to-date libretro core of the newest stella available here: https://github.com/stella-emu/stella

@paradadf Thanks. What do I actually do with that to get it onto my Pi?

I would also like to know. I am having problems with the standalone stella that is provided on optional (which I think this one is). Everything is cut off at the top. I was trying to play warlords and the numbers are cut off at the top. Does this fix that issue?
And I am playing it over composite.

The latest Stella stable release is now included - both as binary and source installation.

@gamersmith Update the RetroPie-Setup script, then you can install the
stella
package - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Updating-RetroPie/#updatinginstalling-individual-packages. -
Yep, all sorted now, ta.
