So I'm building an arcade cabinet, and was wondering for example if I was playing a SNES game, use a SNES controller. But then if we switched to say a PSX game just put down the SNES controller and grab the PSX controller and jump on using it? All the while having all the controllers plugged in. Then maybe jump to MAME and use the built in Joystick and buttons. Or am I asking for too much?

Please let me know if anyone needs a better explanation. Thanks!

@Sparkathor There's a joystick selection tool that can be used to configure which controller is Player 1 for different systems - https://github.com/meleu/RetroPie-joystick-selection.
