I have question about Retropie, I want to do a session for kids and friend with most realistic ZX Spectrum emulation.

I noticed the default emulator in Retropie is still fast loading (even it is disabled in settings) - what I want to have is real loading time and border blinks :D

I tried to load "F.I.R.E. (1990)(Ultrasoft)(48K-128K)(SK)(cs).tzx" it loads slow as in real (I suppose because it has it owns loading routine), while another game "Fred (1984)(Quicksilva)[re-release].tzx" loads fast (basicaly blins directly to game" with the same settings - I believe because it uses standard rom loading routine. (both roms are collected from World of Spectrum)

How can I make all games loading slow by default?

Check the emulator Options - open the RGUI via Select + X (or Hotkey + X) and look into the core options (see this page) for a complete list). Make sure the Tape Fast Load is disabled (I think it's enabled by default).

Thanks, I have it disabled but game is still loaded fast (blinks). Probably faulty feature for some reason.

Hm, I tried with R-type (the .tzx file) and it took almost 3 minutes to load (after changing the option for Fuse), with the cassette buzzing and all. I think it depends on the tape file. I tried Fred and I think it has also it's own loading routine.
