      I just got a Retrotink Ultimate to hook up a Raspberry Pi 3B+ running RetroPie on a Sony Trinitron KV-ES34M90 over component. I set it up using a fresh RetroPie install and then used the configs from u/ErantyInt (https://www.reddit.com/r/crtgaming/comments/d27p6u/updated_retrotink_image_for_reteopie_451/). It's all working great but there was two questions I wondered if someone could help out with.
      First; When booting emulationstation, there are two timings that have worked in boot/config, they are:

      hdmi_timings=320 1 23 30 34 240 1 4 3 15 1 0 0 60 0 6400000 1 #Default RetroTI$
      hdmi_timings=450 1 50 30 90 270 1 1 1 30 0 0 0 60 0 9600000 1 #RGBPi Timing 450$

      The 450x270 looks best, but I was wondering if it was possible to run one @ 720x578 to improve the picture a little. I know the TV supports this as I have an old Apple TV that uses this revolution. How do I write the hdmi_timing to make this work? Is there a calculator or something I could use?

      Second; when running PSX games the runcommand changes the timing to;

      vcgencmd hdmi_timings 2048 1 150 202 330 240 1 3 5 14 1 0 0 60 0 42954545 1
      tvservice -e "DMT 87"
      fbset -depth 24 && fbset -depth 24 -xres 2048 -yres 240

      Is it possible to adapt this to run at 2x resolution so I can use the enhanced graphics in psi-rearmed. Is there a way to have this only affect psx game launching? Or would it then throw out all the other systems? Is there much point?

      Thanks!

        Try this - http://eightvirtues.com/lakka/hat/RPi HDMI Timings Calculator and Core Docs.ods (courtesy of https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtF_2HGXXPlUi1J0Euw1Qrw).

        Maybe if you use the calculator linked above you can derive the correct HDMI timings to use. As for the effect on the other systems, you'll have to ask the author of those configs.
