Retropie IMG file help
-
Hi everybody, I friend of my gave me a Retropie image file that weight 64gb that he found on internet complete with roms and everything already configured. My problem is that I don't have a 64gb sd card so I want to delete some system that I dont care to have but the file is protected and I cant modify it.
I have mounted the img file on linux mint and I went to the roms folder, but I can't delete nothing, it's said that I dont have any permission.
Is there any way that I can change that? I tryed with the chmod command but it doesn't work.
I hope that I don't break any rule with my question, if this break any rule, please delete the question. Thanks in advance.
Regards from Argentina
PS: sorry for my english :D

We're not in the habit of enabling piracy. (see forum rules: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/2/forum-rules) But here is a guide on how you can install a fresh retropie image on your SD card: https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/First-Installation

I would avoid the SD card because it is a high risk for something more that could end up leaching on your network...
You also can't be sure it's built correctly and could end up with a headache trying to install...
Use a clean install and put everything on yourself so you can save any headache and avoid a security risk

Also the Retropie img comes set up so you can play right away with included ports or Roms... Sadly my attempts to have it read a PS1 disk has failed...
