I'm using a Pi 3 and a Mayflash usb SNES adapter and a Mayflash usb Wii Classic Controller Adapter. I initially set up with the SNES adapter and it worked like a charm for everything I tried. After I picked up a fan and overclocked the pi, I tried out N64 games with both adapters. No controllers worked for N64 at all. Didn't even recognize the start button (however exiting the emulator with start/select still worked).

I tested input with jstest. I made config files specifically for N64 according to the retropie wiki. I googled and googled and tried multiple potential solutions, but none worked (or they were outdated).

The onyl anomaly I've discovered so far is that jtest revealed that the mayflash wii classic controller creates a phantom js0 entry under the same name as the actual controller attached to it as js1, "SZMy-power LTD CO. Dual Box WII". So js0 -- the adapter -- receives no input (since it's not a controller), js1 -- the controller -- does. I tried setting joypad order to ignore js0 but that did nothing as well.

Any ideas? Thanks for your time.
