RetroPie disabled wireless touch keyboard in terminal...
-
Hello, I have a project that involves wiring an ili9341 TFT to a pi and displaying RetroPie to it (and using a wireless touch keyboard).
Everything works just fine through hdmi (games and using the terminal), and I can play games using only the TFT and wireless touch keyboard just fine, but for some reason when I open the terminal (when the display is only on the TFT) it disables my keyboard. Normally I might think it was a power supply issue, but if this were the case then why would games work fine with it and not the terminal? Thanks!

Sorry, I got it working... just had to do with the build options for my screen.

Sorry, I got it working... just had to do with the build options for my screen, it seems.
Although, for some reason a game I have ported (not through an emulator) was working just fine through HDMI but doesnt work now that its driven through the TFT. Anyone have any ideas what that might be caused by (or how I might troubleshoot that)?

Maybe the different resolution on the TFT influences how the game works. Without more details - and the actual game to test, it's difficult to say what goes wrong/does not work.

Ah, fair enough, I’ll just keep trying to troubleshoot tonight.
Also, it seems I was mistaken about my initial problem getting fixed- for some reason the touchpad keyboard will work a good percentage of the time (more often than not) both in and out of the terminal, though for some reason it’ll stop working every so often when I switch to terminal. Still wondering if it might not have to do with the latest build for my screen driver (because at least now it works more often than not), though I’m not sure why this might be a factor. Sorry, I just don’t know enough about Pi’s/RetroPie/Linux to know how/where to start troubleshooting. Thanks!
