I would like to add my own button combination using the defined hotkey and another unused key to create an overlay window which can be accessed ingame or from emulation station. I plan to use that menu to access my website with a registration and login form linked to a database I have set up so that they can add friends and invite to games much like on modern consoles. The database part and coding the social area is the easy part as I plan to use a web document and php, but I'm having difficulty following the code already in place to add a menu. Any help finding the correct area to alter would be great, thank you.

@chris52 P.S. Ill be using the command line codes for netplay to actually achieve the link between the database and multiplayer functionality. I just need help editing the menu.cpp file as it is hard coded and I don't quite understand the addEntry functions and have found limited documentation. I understand that I must decompile and recompile the file.
