      Hi,
      I installed RetroPie on Raspberry Pi 3 and installed Kodi. But package manager of RetroPie installed the latest version of Kodi 18.2. On version 18.2 I couldn't install any addon in Kodi. As I found out that some addons can not be installed on version 18.2. So I want to downgrade Kodi version to 18.1. How can I do that?

      Is it possible to install a specific version of Kodi from apt-get (not RetroPie package-manager)?
      Thanks.

        You could downgrade via apt/dpkg by manually downloading the packages from http://archive.raspberrypi.org/debian/pool/main/k, but you'll have to know which packages you need to download & install.
        But I'm pretty sure that 18.2 can have addons installed - what add-ons are not compatible with your 18.2 version, but work in 18.1 ?

          Hi,
          What I am trying to do is to install a IPTV source from unknown sources and it fails always. Secondly I try to activate IR-Receiver on GPIO but it also not working. As I found out that IR service, called LIRC, is not working properly in version 18.2. So therefore I want to downgrade it.

            @kahlenberg You can downgrade Kodi to 18.1 just by downgrading packages "kodi" and "kodi-bin" but I am pretty sure it won't solve your problems.
            Lirc is confirmed to be working in 18.2 it depends on how you configured it. And most of PVRs like for example IPTV Simple and TVheadend. It may depend in your "unknown IPTV source".

              I did this a while back i think the sources are in apt-get. so "sudo apt-cache search kodi" might pull up the pvr addons you need in terminal. also i remeber something about the addons already being installed in some versions in kodi you might want to check my-addons in kodi under pvr they could be there already, look for "simple iptv addon". I will look into more if you need but that should give you leads, alright good luck

                @leftcog so
                sudo apt search kodi-pvr

                '
                and
                this is the pvr i use might be diffrent for you

                sudo apt-get install kodi-pvr-iptvsimple
