      Hey folks,

Having a little trouble with the PiZero install. Basically, I follow the instructions from here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/installation/installing-images/README.md using Belena Etcher, and... nothing. Same card boots a Pi3 no problem.

I feel like I'm missing something, but cannot fathom just what.

      Thanks!

Are you using the Pi0/Pi1 image link from retropie.org.uk/download ?

There's a detailed post on https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=58151 about booting problems on various Pi models - you can check there on what stage is your PI0 stopping - can't read the SD card, incorrect boot files, etc. You can always try a Rasbian Lite image from https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/ and see if it boots.

Do you have a monitor connected ? How are you determining that it's not booting ?

The Pi0 ate my SD card. It works, according to the test, but not really. I think I'm done screwing around with Pi0s. Every single time I try and make 'em work, I run in to stuff like this.

Thank you, going to switch to my working Pi3.
