Hi,
Just wondering if there is any emulator/plans of porting emulator for BBC B and other Acorn computers.
Thanks,
SF

You can probably hack them together with MESS, or there is another emulator but it has SDL bugs that make it freeze on exit requiring a reboot. so currently no there isnt any simple way for that emulator

Thank you for answer!

I use advmess and it's running well with full sound. the only quest is getting the config "advmess.rc" set proper so that the keyboard mappings are fine. i'm still struggling to find out how to configure the function keys (f0-f9).

@teller how do you run advmess with RetroPie?
Thanks, something to look now that i even more use RPi, thanks to great UAE4ARM emulator. :)

Anyone thought about this it does seem a curious omission by it's absence

Sorry let me try that again when i'm not fighting a cold and full of medicine. :)
Has there been any movement on an updated emulator for the BBC Model B that is stable enough to go into the build or is it still crashing out when testing?
Thanks

@SimonJ I usually check out the https://stardot.org.uk/ forum every couple of months, but there doesn't appear to be any work being done on fixing or upgrading Beebem for unix/linux (let alone building a specific emulator for the Pi). All of the work for the more modern emulators like B-Em (and even Beebem) seems to be Windows or Mac based at present.
For the time being, I'm using Advmess which is adequate, but a bit fiddly. I really can't wait for a "you beaut" libretro core or even a standalone emulator, but it needs someone with programming skills to get it to that level. Unfortunately, I don't have the skills myself.

@spud11 B-em works on Linux also - it just needs a desktop environment to work.
