      Hi,

I recently installed Raspbian and then RetroPie on top of it. I'm using a Raspberry Pi 4 (2GB) model. As far as emulation goes, everything seems to be working great so a huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to the effort.

I have one small issue with Kodi. I installed it via Retropie so its listed in the Ports menu. Loading it is fine and before I configured Kodi (switched to Amber skin and installed Jellyfin) it would also exit cleanly back to emulationstation. However, on exit, Kodi now seems to be crashing and then restarting rather than returning to emulationstation.

There are a few old results relating to this when I search but nothing recent. I've had a look at kodistandalone.sh and there's a LOOP variable that is set and when quitting Kodi, is triggered so the app restarts.

Has anyone got any suggested fixes for this?

      Thank you in advance!

If Kodi restarts when you exit, that's because something is wrong with your setup and it is crashing on exit. When that happens, a crashlog is produced in /home/pi. Put it on pastebin or similar site and leave here the link to see if we can find something.

You can prevent Kodi from restarting on exit by using "kodi" instead of "kodi-standalone".

According to the log, it looks like it's Jellyfin that it is not allowing Kodi to exit cleanly.

EDIT: After updating /opt/retropie/configs/ports/kodi/emulators.cfg to kodi from kodi-standalone, I can now return to emulationstation.

          Thanks for your help.
