How to create/filter a romset without rom clones

Hello everybody.

I downloaded an arcade romset and among the thousands of roms are alternative versions of the base games. I am looking for tools to filter this romset and eliminate clone games. The best alternative i found was Simple Arcade Multifilter or maybe Clrmame also does that, but in both tools i didn't find any option to filter and eliminate clone roms. I'm already a little familiar with both tools, i know where to find the .dat and catver.ini files. Is there any way that i can reassemble my romset without clone games with these tools above or some other?

Maybe something like 'Romlister' to create a custom - filtered, no-clones - .dat that you can feed to CLRMame to remove all clones.
