Thanks @gizmo98 I was with 3.8.1 version, I updated from the inside script and I think that It didn't come good, now I installed 4.0 and everything is perfect again. I didn't try your suggestion, but thanks again. @turnerl now you have two options, install the whole 4.0 version or try what gizmo98 suggested, although I didn't see that option in 3.8.1 so I think gizmo98 was writing about 4.0 version.

nicapi do you mean you downloaded and installed the new 4.0 release onto your SD CARD? im hoping for a solution without having to reload all my roms again.

Open startup menu and select reicast-audio-oss.

gizmo98 could you tell me how to open the startup menu, sorry?

Press x or m (or a controller button) when the grey info field appears. There you can select another emulator.

Do you use audio jack or an external audio device?

@turnerl try to reinstall just reicast, hopefully that istalls the reicast-audio-oss option, but yes, I installed the 4.0 release and put all my roms in again, thats a pain I know, but works.

thanks nicapi, I had already updated my packages so I just went into option 1, '1 select default emulator for dreamcast (reicast)' and the option for oss-audio was there.
