      Good evening,
I have retropie installed on my linux mint laptop for gaming on the go and have just started playing the english translated version of Animal Forest (or Animal Crossing). I've put about 4 hours into it and saved it before quitting (as I got berated by an angry mole when I just quit the emulator) and went to load the game up recently and it now crashes when trying to load the town.
I then deleted the srm file and tried again, but the game remembered me so I deleted the rom file, extracted it again and tried again but it still remember me (and still crashes when trying to load the town). I then deleted the town in-game, tried again but still it's crashing.
Does anyone know if this is copy-protection within the game OR if my default emulator (mupen64plus-glide64) has the save state hidden somewhere else within the linux system?
Any help would be appreciated - if the game's broke then fair enough (I was trying it out to see if my kid might like the new switch incarnation) and I hope I've not broken any rules with this request.
