Amiga, ST and C64 folders missing on USB
-
I've just set up a new machine - Pi 3 Model B, 16gb card running Retropie 4. I've put a new usb in and it's created different folders for different machines but no Amiga, C64 or Atari St folder. Anyone help?

@martinh32 because those systems are not installed.
-
Thanks - I thought they were all installed like the other systems from the build on the retro pie website. Presume there is not reason why I cant install these then?
-
@martinh32 you can install them. See upgrading instructions on wiki for overview.

Ok, I'm still stuck, I've tried following the wiki but it doesn't seem to relate to version 4. I've also found a guide on youtube but I've not got the folders I'm expecting. I can't seem to find anything to do with Amiga in the build

@martinh32 where did you look. See https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/updating-retropie - and check optional packages.
-
Just to reiterate what @BuZz is saying adding my own experiences.
RetroPie 4 doesn't have the same line of pre-installed packages as 3.8.x did. Everything is still available, you just have to install them as @BuZz mentioned.
- Quit Emulation Station
- type
sudo ~/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.sh
- Manage Packages
- Manage Optional Packages
If you don't see what you want there, you can look around core, main, optional and experimental packages. When you find the package you want, install it, I usually install from the binary unless there is a specific reason not to.
You probably already figured this out, but I hope this helps. When I stared from scratch with 4.0, I realized some of the packages had to be installed that were previously available in 3.8.x. VICE, linapple, lr-nestopia, and some others.

I was reading through this today and found the following steps worked for me..
Go to your retropie menu
then select retropie setup
then managed packages
then manage optional packagesthen install from binary
The Amiga and Dreamcast then installed onto my retro pi once I rebooted it
