Shanwan PS3-Support since Installation of Retropie 4.0

Hello Guys,

first of all I want to say that this is a great project. I love my little Retropie-Environment on my Raspberry Pi 2 (Model B).

After I freshly installed Retropie 4.0 on my Raspberry (SD-image) I couldn't get my Shanwan PS3-Controller connected to my Raspberry.
The drivers seem to be installed correctly, as I can connect my original PS3-Controller without any trouble.

In version 3.8.1 I could connect and use the original and the Shanwan-model at the same time.
Multiple uninstallations, updates and re-installations of the PS3-drivers does not seem to solve the problem.
My observation: When I install the PS3-driver in version 4.0 it looks like he installs all the PS3 drivers available, by downloading all the compatible "clones". Maybe he is only looking for "real" PS3-controllers via bluetooth then?

Did anyone manage it to get the Shanwan-controller to work after Installation of Retropie 4.0?

Same here, I'm seeing:

retropiehd[4059] Authentication attempt without agent
retropiehd[4509] access denied org.bluez.Error.Rejected
retropiehd[4509] 01:B5:8E:82:63:25: error updating services: Connection timed out (110)

In the syslog when I try to pair a Shanwan controller that has been previously connected via usb.

Another with the error, There are no way to communicate the error to developers??? to return to drivers 3.8x

@virusbcn update RetroPie-Setup and uninstall and reinstall ps3 driver. This was fixed since 4.0.

Thank you buzz, but i have updated Retropie to last version today and install and reinstall many times ps3 driver :-(

I have got the same problem. My PS3Shanwan doesn't connect via Bluetooth. I can connect it via USB, even though it rumbles all the time, but when I disconnect it and try to connect via Bluetooth, it does not. I have a Raspberry B+ with a Bluetooth dongle and Retropie 4.0.2 installed.I have also installed several times the drivers through retropie_setup.sh

I am sure my dongle works and the drivers are correctly installed because I have an original PS3 gamepad and this works perfectly via Bluetooth. I follow the same steps with my PS3Shanwan with no success.

I found a tutorial to connect PS3Shanwan, https://raspberryblog.de/?p=1870#more-1870, but I cannot follow all the steps since I am not a Linux specialist.

Could you help me? Should Retropie 4.0.2 work fine with PS3Shanwan? Am I doing something wrong?

Same here. I just got my 2 shanwan ps3 controllers and I cant add them as Bluetooth. Seems to get same error message afterward.
