Hi there. I'm running a raspberry 3b+. I've been trying to get emulationstation to autostart. I have gone into the setup menu and tried that. Many times. It just boots to the command prompt. I'm new to editing scripts and all that. So forgive me for lack of knowledge. Thank you in advance.

Can you please add some info about your setup, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

If you use the provided image to install RetroPie you shouldn't need to configure anything - any reason you're not doing so ?

        I'm using the pi 3 b+
        5v 3a power supply
        retropie v4.5
I'm using the official retropie img. I got it from the site.
I have a keyboard and snes controller connected
        No error messages.
I hope this answers everything correctly. I'm making a little side table with a flip up monitor. The other day I wanted to add background music in emulationstation. I quit ES and got to the command prompt and now I can't get it to boot to ES. I've looked all over and I cannot find the answer. I did go into the retropie setup and had it boot to ES but it doesn't work. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Revert your modifications you did for background music and see if it fixes the issue. Which file did you modify ?

So I went back and looked it up. It was in the autostart.sh. I deleted a line and it works and I still get to keep my background music. Thanks for your time :).
