I added pixel to my retropi install. On a Pi 3b+ running with latest updates.

I tried installing chrome, and it doensn't start

Firefox saves to \root\downloads and not ~\pi

I start pixel with sudo startx after exiting emulationstation

      Any ideas?

@jjjlo said in rights issues under PIXEL?:

Then why are you wondering that Firefox runs as the root user ?. Using sudo is not recommended.

@mitu Thanks. I followed some guide, and it suggested sudo.

Now when I start it without, I get a bunch of permission errors.

Any way to easily roll back/reinstall/fix?

See which files are not correctly owned (root instead of pi) and change the owner with chown.
