Emulation Station
-
I searched on google and have not found an answer, so I thought I would try here. I have a Raspberry Pi 3 and put the Rasbian Jessie image on my 32 gig sd card. I downloaded the binary for retropie through the terminal and everything installed successfully...or it says it did. I have rebooted the Raspberry Pi multiple times and can't find Retropie. I went to the terminal and typed in emulation station.
The problem that I keep getting has something to do with X and I think it said LSDX. I have tried logging out. I am asked for my user name and password and it logs me back into Rasbian. What am I doing wrong?

If you can start again, I'd suggest following this:

I have no problem reformatting the sd card and doing things over. If I just write Retropie to the card, will Rasbian still be accessible? If so, how would I get there?

RetroPie is built on Raspbian. So to get to it just quit Emulation Station using the menu (Press Start) or press F4 on the keyboard.
