Usb failing, what can I do?

What kind of 'USB' are you using ? What are you trying to do and it's not working ?

@mitu Samsung 3.0 256gig, in the retropie load its failing usb, and the roms aren't showing that are on it

How are you powering the disc - is it externally or through the PI itself ?

@mitu it is powering off the retropie sd card that came with the unit. The roms are on a external USB, the only ones that are showing are the roms that came on the pi sd card

Then my guess is that the Pi is not providing enough power to the USB drive - try to power the drive externally.

Not necessarily - you could get a powered USB hub to power up the disk and connect it to the Pi though the hub. Doesn't the disk have any other powering options ? What model it is (Samsung 3.0 is not a model) ?

The only devices of Samsung with USB3.0 and 265GB are USB-Sticks (called "FlashDrives" by Samsung) as far as i can see.
But one question in general @mitu.
KKaplan81 bought a pi with a preloaded image full of roms and is trying to add more roms by putting in a USB-Device.The rules say "no support for 3rd-party-images".
In this case KKaplan gets support.
So are there further rules that allow support even when using a scammer-image?
Something like "he does not ask for help with the image itself, but with adding hardware" or something like that? -

I don't see this specifically mentioned, it only said
it is powering off the retropie sd card that came with the unit.
Maybe I'm missing/overlooking something ?

@KKaplan81 is @sirhenrythe5th right ? Did you buy your Pi with a ROM filled sdcard ?
