eg. did you upgrade to 4.0 or use a fresh image, which rpi, anything logged in /dev/shm/runcommand.log ? Did you install from binary or source

ok. I tested it and was able to reproduce - it's a dependency issue. The error was in the runcommand.log so posting that would have saved me some time (for future bug reports etc).

Please update retropie-setup and choose to update uae4all from binary and it should work.

Sorry just wondered if anyone else had the same problem. Upgraded to 4.0 from 3.8.1, rpi 3, reinstalled from both source and binary, didn't check log.

          Thanks

            Not working:

            /opt/retropie/emulators/uae4arm ~
./uae4arm: error while loading shared libraries: libmpg123.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

How did you just update it ? I suspect you didn't update the retropie-setup script first.

Like you said, from binary. I tried both earlier and the same thing. Black screen, white cursor flashing then back to ES

You need to update the RetroPie-Setup script first (from the main menu). Otherwise you won't have the code that adds the missing dependency.

sorry - my mistake - I put the fix in uae4all not uae4arm :-) Please do it again. Sorry I asked a few times, as you didn't specifically say you had updated retropie-setup I thought it might have been missed.
