      Hi,

      the relevant information:

      Pi Model: Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.1
      Power Supply used: USB-C 4A Powersupply
      RetroPie Version: 4.6 (image from Downloads)
      Built From: retropie-buster-4.6-rpi4.img.gz
      USB Devices connected: USB-Keyboard
      Controller used: ?
      Error messages received: which log to check?
      Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant): no such logfile

      So my display is working properly, i can see video during boot.
      once booting is finished, autostart of retropie is happening --> from this moment, I got a Black screen. Even touching the keyboard, there is nothing - no menu - no settings.

      root@retropie:/home/pi# cat /boot/config.txt

      disable_overscan=1

      hdmi_force_hotplug=1
      hdmi_group=1
      hdmi_mode=16
      hdmi_drive=2

      dtparam=spi=on
      dtparam=audio=on
      dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d
      max_framebuffers=2
      overscan_scale=1

      EDIT:
      If I am connected via ssh and run "emulationstation" - x11 is redirecting me the main menu, but windows is allways going to autohide. I cannot let the window in the front..

        What kind of TV/Monitor do you have ? You've modified config.txt for 1080p, what happens if you don't ?

          TV is a Samsung UE46F6500.
          if I leave autoconfig, the result is the same.

          I managed to put in values, because of this topic - without luck:
          Black screen raspberry pi 4

            Which HDMI port are you using to connect the TV ? The one next to the USB-C power plug is recommended.

                That's not a bad idea - we'll have a PI4 specific page 'really soon'. Have fun !
