      I'm trying to change/view the resolution in raspi-config but it keeps taking me back to the main raspi-config menu? Anyone else have this issue?

      All other options seem to work ok. I've read some comments suggesting better performance if I lower it to 1080p?

        If you have 4k TV and RetroPie starts in the 4k resolution, then it's better to lower it by default, since it will cause slowdowns. If Raspi Config doesn't work, try adding to your config.txt :

        hdmi_group=1
        hdmi_mode=16
