      @Simrose said in No Longer Hides .SH:

      But with 4.6 It no longer works.

      It should work, there's no change here in this regard. How did you try to remove the extension ?

        @mitu
        Thanks for your reply.

        I removed from es_systems the extension sh from pc, scummvm, amiga
        But they still show in gameslists.
        This is what I did with retropie 4.5 and I'm using same es_systems file.
        It could be something to do with gamelists view.
        I might end up working it out. Anything you can suggest I can try?
        Thanks
        Sim.

          @Simrose Do you have the Parse Metadata Only option set to On in your EmulationStation settings ?

            and the same as parse gameslists only
            I have that off.
            Thanks

              @Simrose Remove the .sh entries from the gamelist then and see if that makes them disappear from view.

                  @Simrose Do you have

                  /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg

                  present on your system ? If you do, you will need to update it. This file is not normally present but it can be used to manually customise emulationstation systems - but you need to keep it updated. If you didn't make it, then you may not have installed retropie from this site.

                      @Simrose if you have a second es_system.cfg in that path I mentioned, and you got the image from this site, you must have made it. It's not created by default.

                        I did 100 percent get image from this site. And I copied es systems from my old pi3 retropie image which was also from here I've never used retropie from anywhere else.
                        Thanks Sim

                          I don't have es systems in that opt... Path
                          So I could Copy the es_systems from etc\emulationstation.. Path into the one you posted and it should work is that the recommended way?
                          Thanks

                            @Simrose no. I thought you may have had a config there which could have been the issue.

                              Is their anything else I can try?
                              This is an official 4.6 build the only system change I made manually is adding super famicom system to the es_systems.cfg in etc\emulationstation path and a super famicom config folder other than that it's not changed.

                              Removing sh is working fine on my 4.5 pi3 setup.

                              Thanks

                                @Simrose Post your es_systems.cfg on pastebin.com. Note that modifying the system's config is not recommended, since that's maintained by the RetroPie scripts.

                                  es_systems.cfg

                                  Note I always put retropie to the bottom. I wish it could stay that way when adding new systems. I understand its sorted alphabetical.

                                  If you can't find a way to help with hideing the emulator .sh its no problem.

                                  Thanks for helping

                                    I see that dreamcast still has the.sh extension added, Ports and RetroPie are ok. So, if you still have the .sh shown, check your gamelist.xml file for the system and remove it from there. If that doesn't fix it, then check in $HOME/.emulationstation and see if you have a customized es_systems.cfg.

                                    You say you added a Super Famicom system, but I don't see it in the file you posted. OK, it's the sfc entry, I missed that.

                                      sfc is my superfamicom
                                      dreamcast is ok because im using redream not having reicast installed.
                                      i have no custom es_systems.cfg anywhere but the one i showed which is in etc\emulationstation.
                                      But You solved it for me
                                      in my gameslist
                                      <game>
                                      <path>./+Start Amiberry.sh</path>
                                      You would think that would be the first thing i checked :-)
                                      same as other emulators with .sh in my gameslist.
                                      deleted from gameslist now.
                                      Very Pleased.
                                      Thank you so much.
