Retropie 4.6 - Pi 4b - Zip problem snes9x
-
Hi there,
I'm new to emulation, but not to gnu linux, after some days of testing, i have all my roms who works well except in zip file (or 7z) for snes9x.
The files are on the sd card (not mounted from usb or nas)It's not a naming problem because i had remove all space and special characters (to be sure)
My conf :
Pi Model 4 B Power Supply used: (If using a Pi) : 5V - 3 A RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): 4.6 Built From: Pre made image from PINN USB Devices connected: mouse keyboard Controller used: 8bitdo Error messages received: [libretro INFO] Try 'force no-header' option if the game doesn't work [libretro INFO] "y<L____V_|vC____!,__Yp" [bad checksum] LoROM, Corrupt, ROM, NTSC, SRAM:Corrupt, ID:_m__, CRC32:7FABE0EC [INFO] [Environ]: SET_PIXEL_FORMAT: RGB565. I don't understand the bad checksum message as the rom works well outside the zip. I have try many times to recompress the zip, even with store only (nocompress) option.
retroarch 1.8.5 is build with zip and 7zip support as the --features show.
Is this a common problem ?
I could doing more test or debug.

Could be a zip compatibility issue. What's the output of
zipinfo -vv /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/snes/SuperMarioWorldEuropeZip.zip

I finally found the problem after searching on google, but i don't understand
After renaming all flc files in the zip, no more problem. So the rom with flc or mgd work outside the zip, but in the zip only flc ?
If someone have an explanation.

I don't understand either - you renamed them to what ?

All my snes rom have mgd file extension in each zip. After renaming all these rom to flc in the zip. No more problem...
