Is there a known issue with XboxOne controllers and 4.6 on Pi4?
-
Hello,
I've been using my XboxOne USB controller on my pi3 for a year or so on 4.5.x and it's fine. I'm just building my pi4 with 4.6 and setup the controller for the first time and all buttons, dpad, sticks, triggers are detected, but when I go into a game it seems the start button is my right trigger even though I told it not to.
Also the X,Y,B,A buttons are in the right order on the pi3 setup screen (where it shows you) but different on the pi4 4.6 setup screen.
Button A/East is shown as the right button on the setup screen but it's the bottom button on the Xbox1 or 360 controllers and the other buttons are in the wrong order. I thought it was just my controller but when I set it up again on the pi3 and 4.5.x it's all ok there and the setup screen shows the buttons in the correct manor.
Just wondered if this is a bug or just the way it now is?
Thanks

Since the XBox controllers have a different A/B X/Y layout than the traditional controllers' A/B/X/Y layout (used by both EmulationStation and RetroArch), there is a setting in EmulationStation to swap the buttons. Start the RetroPie Setup script, then go to 'Configuration/Tools' and open the emulationstation section - there you have the option to swap the buttons.

Thanks I think that works, It doesn't change the button pictures on the setup but it says swapped.
So hotkey + x will open Retroarch now, is that right?
