Editing Rom sets
-
Hi All......yes I know this topic has been covered several times, but I've tried several of the posted solutions using the terminal, and get no joy, just comments like "no such file or directory exist"
The issue is that until today, I was able to launch any rom, in any of the formats (Arcade, SNES, PS1 etc) and I could choose an emulator other than the default one for each individual rom. What happens now, is that if I choose an emulator for a single game, it gets locked in. In other words, I can neither change it or delete the newly chosen rom.
I have looked at the emulators.cfg file direct on my mac, and it loads up ok but says it is locked. tbh it looks OK other than that (see image attached)
I have renamed my pi to "JonesArcade" so that it shows up as such on my network, so not sure if this is frustrating my attempts to get at the file.
Thanks in advance

Check the permissions on the file - make sure it's writeable by the
pi
user. Post the entire file on pastebin.com to take a look.BTW, the default emulator for
make-libretro
ismame2003
, there's no need to set each individual game to usemame2003

@mitu Hi, that's great info thanks. I presume that if it isn't writable, then pastern.com will allow me to change it?
The weird thing is that it was working so well, and then for no reason it stopped. Also, it is allowing me to do the first edit (ie try another emulator) and seems to write it to the config file, but then won't let me further edit it. Its the same in every emulator - PS1, SNES etc. Got me confused!
Will try what you suggest tho. Thanks again, appreciate it.
