Hello,
I know this has been answered as ive read a few other posts but im still not sure and was wondering if someone could tell me how to do it in a simple way, im not a noob with retropie/linux but this one has got me, so what i want to be able to do is connect a button to gpio pin 5 and 6, and when i press the button it quits out of the emulator im playing back to emulation station, now i know theres a script out there to do this can someone point me in the right direction and how to enter it in the retropie terminal, sorry to be a pain just need some help.
Thank you all -

Try using @cyperghost's script from https://github.com/crcerror/ES-generic-shutdown, if you run it with the
--closeemu
parameter it will stop the current running emulator. -
@cockneynutjob Yes
multi_switch.sh
is very flexible. As default if you connect a switch to PIN 5 and 6 it'll powerdown the whole system but you can easily exchange behaviour with some code edit. -
Thank you very much to you both sorted
