because you are running an unaccepted fix - we're waiting for the lead developer to have a look into this issue. once it's resolved the core could be added.

@quicksilver I have seen glitches with the emulator now. Alien Trilogy goes a bit mad sometimes, but usually comes back before too long. I also saw this on Slam 'n Jam 96. Most games have been perfect though.

Oh, and there are no sound effects in PowerSlave. Alien Trilogy really isn't playable, I've persisted with that a bit now. Slam 'n Jam is playable, despite seeing glitches occasionally.

@quicksilver I've installed it thanks to your guide. Can't get games to start though.

Does anyone know the accepted format for the emu? Tried a few but no joy.

Also added some bios but that doesn't seem to work...

@Jste84 I've been using .bin and .cue, that has been fine. Maybe keep trying with the bios, possibly you've had duff ones.

@quicksilver Any idea on the missing Sound Effects on PowerSlave? Are there any settings that might make this work? I guess I could have a dodgy ROM, I am only assuming the fault is with the emulator here.

@AdamBeGood the emulator is far from perfect. In fact I have encountered issues with most games I tested. You can try enabling/disabling the HLE bios option in the retroarch quick menu. Sometimes it has a positive effect for some games.

@quicksilver Okay, cool. I'll try that out then. It is such a fast emulator though, games are so smooth (when they work).

@quicksilver HLE Bios On makes Alien Trilogy much better, no glitching as yet. Still no sound effects on Powerslave though, but that is the only major issue I've got currently.

@quicksilver No, not really... I just have a PS Classic and feel that I should play the PSX stuff on that, so having it on Saturn means that I can play it on my Pi and don't have to plug the PSC in. Ridiculous I know.

It works fine now, some minor sound issues but it is good enough to play on. PowerSlave having no sound is the only issue I am really bothered with, I can cope with some major glitches, etc.

Edit: You are right, and I hear the PS1 version is better also. I am playing that now!

@quicksilver its giving me an error when trying to install them? it said they failed to apply?

I just installed without a problem. It's far more usable than any other Saturn emulator right now, even with some bugs and such. It looks like Jools' patch won't be needed soon as it was just accepted upstream a month ago.

Do Multi-Disk games work on Yabansiro / Yabause? I can't see a Disk Control option in the Quick Menu, and I was looking at the Yabause documents and can't see that .m3u is supported.

I know Beetle-Saturn can use .m3u but that emulator runs too poorly on my Pi for that to be of any help.

Edit: I am told on Reddit that the game should save at the end of the disk, so the save file should then work on subsequent disks. Maybe renaming will be required but it should work.
