How to replicate the problem: play Blade Runner with lr-scummvm

Hi, I am running Blade Runner on a Pi 4 with lr-scummvm. So far, everthing runs fine except this one graphics glitch that looks like transparency's gone wrong or there's some background missing.

It's most notable in text overlays like subtitles, see picture here: https://www.reddit.com/r/RetroPie/comments/hf7eeh/blade_runner_graphics_glitch_lrscummvm_help_needed/. But I also see it in some other areas.

Using scummvm as emulator (not lr-) does not show the problem, but I'd prefer lr-scummvm for ease of configuration.

Any ideas how to fix this?

@kleingeld I have the exact same issue in lr-scummvm 2.1.1.

@HappySpaceInvdr Please don't bump old topics. As mentioned in the other topic, the libretro core for ScummVM is outdated, try using the standalone emulator, the issue may be already fixed.
