Posting here in case anyone else would like to confirm.

      Ubuntu 18.04.4.

If I load a ROM (defender.zip) in this case and press 'p' to pause, the game pauses as expected. However, pressing 'p' again does not unpause the game. Rather, the screen just dims lightly. I have to press the 'p' key 2 more times to unpause.

I assume that this is not an RP specific issue so I opened an issue on the Libretro github: https://github.com/libretro/mame/issues/157

Pause works fine with lr-mame2003-plus, lr-fbneo and lr-flycast. These are the only other cores I use (and tested).

      John
