      Hello,

I have been setting up retropie 4.0 on a Raspberry Pi 3. I have added two games to DosBox, Wolfenstein 3D and Jazz Jackrabbit.

In both of these games I experience screen tearing. Especially in Jazz.

I have many other emulators set up and those do not have screen tearing.

Does anyone have a fix for this?

      Thank you
      Peter Mills

RetroPie-Setup -> Configuration / Tools -> dispmanx -> switch it on for DOSBOX

          Hi Buzz,

Thanks for the reply. I turned on dispmanx and now noticed that Jazz Jackrabbit is very slow to load into the game. Once you are in the game the tearing is gone and it performs better.

Wolfenstein 3D also takes a long time to load with dispmanx on.

          Is this expected?

          Thanks

Might affect it yeah, due to the buffering etc. I didn't notice any performance issues when doing a quick test with doom though.

@punky you should download wold4sdl from retropie setup. Fullscreen and far faster than dosbox.
