      Hello again everyone,
Another issue I have come across and I haven't been able to find any fixes for are in regards to NES and SNES games. For this example I will you Mario Games (1,2,3) The gameplay and music seems to be running and an escalated rate. I have tried different roms however they all seem to run at this rate. I am trying to get these games to run as close to the original as possible. Has anyone come across a similar issue and have had a fix that they can recommend for me to try? Thank you again in advance! :)

@Eddie_RaXX hey I had this problem before. What are your rom names at the end (U) (USA) etc? As I had ROMs that the emulator picked up as NTSC when they were actually PAL ROMs. So they ran at 10% faster speed.

@Eddie_RaXX Are you in Europe? Because if so, Your memory might be of games that ran 16% slower than Japan and North America. To make games run on 50FPS in europe, they just slowed the 60FPS games instead of reprogramming. The 60FPS is the original games and europe got slower worse versions. This applies to most games from those 8-16bit days, maybe even the 32bit days, with a few exceptions. If you have European roms already, see if the emulator has an option to run PAL games at 60hz turned on.

@Eddie_RaXX Try using a NTSC rom, one of those with a (U) in the name.

@Eddie_RaXX Then I dont know what to say. Ive had no issues with speed on any of games I have ran. But based off the roms you showed, the SMB1 is a european rom. Should run slower in retropie. Your SMB2 roms is an arcade version (PC10) and the SMB3 roms looks fine.

If you use a Euro (PAL) rom on a US (NTSC) machine, the game will run fast.

So, if you are in the US running RetroPie on a US TV, you should not use a European rom. You can switch the Pi into PAL mode (if you have a TV that can tolerate it) and it will run at normal speed, but I wouldn't recommend it if you can just get the US version instead.
