Pi4 with offical psu
Would it be fine to use the following without draining to much power
Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse 1 dongle k270
But have off switch on devices and only on when joysticks not being used.
2 x ps4 Controllers plugged in via USB ports with USB cable
1 x SanDisk 500gb extreme portable 500gbShould those devices together be OK?

Depends on what is the total power draw - they're detailed here for all Pi models. I can't find any specs about the power for the external disc (which is likely to draw the largest portion of the USB provided power) - so I don't know how that will fare.

All i can find is some details on the 1tb which i assume is similar they look identical.
But im not very technical.
I read something on that site above saying it cant go beyond 4.5w but no idea what im reading :-)

The page linked hints the power draw for the Sandisk to be below 3.5W, so it's not that much. If the disk draws 900mA during peak consumption, there's not much left to 1,200mA for the other 3 devices.
You can test by connecting all devices at once and performing some write intensive tasks on the SSD to see if anything disconnects. If that doesn't work, then get a powered USB3 hub.
