PS4 controller is not working on dolphin

I downloaded dolphin emulator to my retro pie. Retro pie is running on a laptop which is using Ubuntu desktop (20.04). I know that I have to configure controls for the controller to work on dolphin. But I don't know how. I read that you have to go into run command and launch dolphin GUI. But I tried but it does not give me an option to set up controls. How do you set up the controls?
