After running latest retropie updates neogeo games are not loading just goto a black screen.

I was previously playing them last week with family and only change made was retropie update.

      Thanks
      Sim

I am sorry for my manners. I will try to get all info of error later today.
Below is more info until I can access pi later.

          Pi4b
Retropie 4.6 official build from retropie website
          Etcher sdcard SanDisk ultra
Updated using retropie update method 15th may 2020
Choose yes to kernel and underlying packages
          Official power supply
          Usb device ps4 controller
          No overclock
          Emulator fbneo
          Sytem neo geo
Fault black screen but emulator loads, can access retroarch with hot key.
          But no game or sound.
Fbneo is working on arcade games
Replicate by loading any neo geo game using fbneo from within neo geo menu

Searching these forums this is usually related to bios but I believe this is different and due to something in update as I was playing the neo geo games last week and only change to system is update.

If someone could possibly be kind enough to test a neo geo game with latest updates to confirm this.

Thanks and sorry again for not following the rules correctly
          Sim

Does it happen for every neogeo game, or just for a specific one ? What game are you trying to run ?

I am having the same issue.
                Pi4b
                version 4.6.1 (e21900b8)
                FBNEO v0.2.97.44

I just get a black screen and it exits.
Neogeo games works in mame2010 though (different romset).

                EDIT:
Works fine now. I had the wrong BIOS for some reason.

Hi, I'm late to the party...but, I am having the same issue with all NeoGeo games with the same setup as yourself. I tried changing the NeoGeo.zip bios file...but that did nothing. I am running VirtualMans Mega Game build (512GB). What is the exact name of the Bios file you replaced and which folder location did you put it?

They all uses to work prior to system update, just like you said.

                          @cosmic-bunny 3rd party-images are not supported here.
                          You have two options:

                          • install the official image from here on your SD-Card, then we can give you support.
                          • ask VirtualMan for support.
