A long time ago, guessing in the beginning of the 90's , end of 80's there was a game that I can't remember. A friend and I had some fun with it but I can't recall if it was C64 or Amiga or possible even PC. We are going to have a retro session and I thought it would be fun if I could find this "gem" again.
On to the description. From what I remember, it was a single screen with a desert scenario and I think you had a machine gun just killing a bunch of people. Maybe it was some sort of execution. I don't think it was commercial.
I have tried searching for it but without success.
With my vague description, does anyone know what game I might think of? :)

The game I'm looking for I would guess is a homebrew and not very advanced, like Cabal and Beach Head.

Could even be Commando, that starts on beach/desert with a guy shooting a machine gun, and was probably around that time.

I was too vague :) This is a very basic game, not near Commando and Ikari. With single screen I meant that there is no scrolling in any direction. I doubt it was ever published. But it was quite popular, mostly because it was very violent at that time.

@Stuffu JACKAL, it was for nes and other consoles/commadore, it starts off in the desert on a army jeep shooting up everything. Not sure if you ment single screen this has a map i think on the sides atleast for nes version.

I got the same suggestion on Reddit. It looks promising, but from what I recall the entire game was like the bonus stage at the end of each level.
I might remember it wrong and it really is commando Libya that I’m looking for. Let’s see if anyone else comes up with something, otherwise it’s solved :)

@Stuffu I remember playing it as a kid, I was really impressed by the level of violence (rather high for the time).

@saccublenda yeah, it wasn’t a very good game but it was kind of forbidden which is why i liked it back in the days :)
