The goal of this theme is to create a modern game launcher that can fit in alongside game streaming-like apps (sometimes called 10 foot user interfaces). clearOS is a theme for Pegasus Frontend.

      Installation

Download the latest version and extract it in your Pegasus theme directory under a folder called clearOS.

Windows users may need to install the K-lite Codec Pack to get video playback working.

IMPORTANT: You need to have the latest version of Pegasus installed (not the current Stable release) otherwise you will get an error regarding Qt.Modules.

      Navigation

      • Show collections menu: Filters button
      • Cycle active collection: Previous/Next Page buttons
      • Favorite toggle: Details button

      Metadata

It is recommended to use Skraper.net to acquire media assets for this theme. These are the minimum requirements for media scraping, although adding more could be useful for other themes or the future:

      • video
      • screenshot
      • fanart
      • box 2d
      • wheel

Skraper will place these in your roms folder under another folder called media.

If no media files are showing up, make sure that Skraper Assets is checked in the Additional Data Sources section of Pegasus settings. It may also be preferable to convert the created gamelist.xml (assuming EmulationStation was chosen for the game list in Skraper) to a metadata.txt file using the Pegasus conversion tool

Looks great! I think this is the best theme for Pegasus I've seen so far!

Your link, however, is for GameOS. I was able to find it though, so no biggie.

Would it be possible to have the video previews play on hover of the game?

Thanks! And also for pointing out the link error - it's fixed now.

I wasn't sure about video playback at first since I wanted it to be quite light, but after spending some time with it myself I also miss them so I think I'll add support in the next version yes.

            Hello there.

            Just registered to comment.
I believe this is your magnum opus. it looks beautiful and so slick. just perfect design imo.

I also agree that video previews would look nice and maybe the game details menu like gameOS. other than that it is a really nice theme and will be my main probably from now on.

              @Starkregen thanks that’s very kind ☺️

A game details page does seem to make sense yes. I’ll probably add one in the next release also.
